Ministries for Middle School Youth at Third Church

At Third Church our middle school youth are important. We are here to encourage our youth in their relationship with Jesus Christ. Because the Word of God speaks to the issues our youth are facing today, it is important to discuss its truth in a relevant and applicable way. Our middle school ministries allow us to have fun together that is centered on Christ. Music, small group discussions, Bible study, games, videos, outings and activities are all incorporated into the discipleship process to help kids love God and love others. It is a great time to develop strong Christian foundations and lasting friendships. 

Our youth are so important, that we have a full time, experienced  Youth Pastor on our staff. Shawn Hofing, our youth director, knows how to relate to and how to motivate teens. He speaks their language.

All teens in our community are welcome to participate in our middle school ministries, whether or not they have ever seen the inside of a church. 

Skate Ministry
The "skate" ministry exists as a community outreach event designed to provide in-line skaters and skateboarders a fun, place to skate and a place where they can hear the Gospel. Middle school youth skate on Monday from 6:30 - 8:30 PM.

GEMS (Girls Everywhere Meeting the Savior) 
A ministry for girls in grades 4 - 8. The girls explore a new theme each year along with Bible lessons and special events. They meet alternating Mondays, September through April, at 7:00 PM.

Cadets
Cadets is a ministry for boys in grades 3 through 8. The boys meet on alternating Mondays, September through April at 7:00 PM for a Bible lesson, badge work, and other activities. One of the highlights for the boys is the annual summer Camporee. Click here for more information on Cadets.
